Confidence

In Flying Logic, confidence refers to a numerical value associated with each entity. A confidence value can represent either a fuzzy boolean value or a probability depending on how a Flying Logic document’s operators are set up. Confidence is displayed and/or changed using an entity’s confidence spinner. Only driver entities may have their confidence value directly manipulated— driven entities can only have their confidence changed indirectly. Confidence values flow through the graph, and are modified by the operators they encounter along the way.

Flying Logic's advanced operators can also be used to create confidence values outside the normal range of 0.0 ... 1.0 used for fuzzy boolean values and probability values. When this happens, then confidence values take on the floating-point type.
