Causality

Causality or causation denotes the relationship between one event (called the cause) and another event (called the effect) which is the consequence (or result) of the first.

In Flying Logic, causes are represented by entities having one or more successors, and effects are represented by entities having one or more predecessors. An entity with both successors and predecessors is therefore both a cause and and effect.

It is important to note that simply because one event occurs after another, or in conjunction with another, that this is not strong enough evidence by itself to establish a causal relationship between the two.
