Also known as a note.

An annotation is block of free-form text that can be attached to any element. Annotations are used to provide supporting information for a statement made in the title of an entity, or to surface underlying assumptions about the causal relationship denoted by an edge. Elements with an annotation appear with a yellow bullet.
